“He Is Life” The Fourth Sunday Of Easter – April 25, 2010 Archbishop Loren Thomas Hines, D. D. Many of us are satisfied with knowing about Christ. That will never bring salvation to us. Salvation comes by knowing Him...We belong to Him and He is concerned about us. If only we would put our trust in Him, He will make the life we live fulfilling, satisfying, filled with joy and satisfaction. A life that is secure, peaceful, and healthy. That is life and what it does. Look at what it did for Christ. It will do the same for you. “I AM the life of the world.” Jesus is our hope, our strength, our tomorrow. Here is the peace in the family, the peace in the nation, the peace in the world. Here is our security. Here is our prosperity. Not a prosperity measured by world standards, but a prosperity that brings complete liberty and hope and joy. (Click Read More to view the transcript of the homily)

"He Is Transcendent” The Third Sunday Of Easter – April 18,2010 Bishop Ricardo M. Alcaraz The Lord is Transcendent. I believe that the Lord wants to get this message to us: let us recover a vision of our Risen Lord that we may rise to the purposes of God for our lives. In John 21:1-14, I would like to share to you three thoughts. First thought is in John 21:1-3: when we are discouraged, do not look for answers outside of God. Second thought is from verses 4-8: we need to remember the revelation we have received from Him. The third thought based on verses 9-14: fresh strength comes when we begin to see the Risen Lord again. (Click Read More to view the transcript of the homily) |

“He Is Lord”
The Second Sunday Of Easter – April 11, 2010 Archbishop Loren Thomas Hines, D. D.
This is Easter and the expression or the evidence of Easter is to be seen in our lives. It is to be seen in the way we walk, in the way we talk, the things that we do, in the goals of our lives. All are to reflect the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is alive, and He is to be witnessed by us. Jesus said, “You are My witness.” The world will not know it if we don’t show it. The world will not see it if we do not live it. The world will be in darkness if we don’t let our light shine. (Click Read More to view the transcript of the homily)

“He Is Risen!” Easter Sunday Noonday High Mass – April 4, 2010 Archbishop Loren Thomas Hines, D.D. Today marks the eight day since we began our journey. On the first day of our journey, the declaration was made: triumph. As we gather today, we gather to proclaim the fulfillment of that prophecy, the reaching of that goal by our Lord. Just as He said, just as prophets have proclaimed and declared: this day would be a new day. This day would be a beginning of new life. ... We see all week long that Christ was restoring the life that God had given. He was bringing to its fullness that which was given to us. In this day, in memory of what happened many years ago – the resurrection, we celebrate. It is a day of celebration. Such an awesome event that every Sunday is declared a celebration – a feast that we cannot set aside and forget the power of this day, the events and its meaning. He is not in the tomb. He is alive, and in His life, He gave also life to us. He changed our being. He made this the eight day a new beginning. A time when the old has passed away, and behold, all things are new and all of those new things are of God because He who knew no sin, became sin that we might become the righteousness of God through Him. A new life given to us; a new provision of being bestowed upon us because of the compassion, the grace, and the mercy of God. (Click Read More to view the transcript of the homily) |
