Life Formation Mission, the educational ministry of the Cathedral of the King, is the result of the vision that the Lord has placed several years ago in the heart of Archbishop Loren Thomas Hines, presiding Bishop, to restore education to the church.

It is a response to the call of God for the church, specifically through the family, to rise up and raise a godly standard to produce a God-fearing generation in the community and the nation. Life Formation Mission is the fulfillment of the vision for an educational institution that addresses the fullness of man – spirit, soul, and body, based on the principles of God and geared towards the formation of values and character. It is focused on the holistic development of the child – spiritually, intellectually, mentally, emotionally, and physically through an academic curriculum rooted in the principles of the catholic faith and the word of God. It shares with the parents, who are the primary educators of their children, the educational mission of the church. Life Formation Mission upholds the teachings of the one holy, catholic and apostolic church and the gospel values of faith, hope, and charity. Religious truths and values are cultivated in all subject areas and permeate its many extra-curricular activities. The school’s students grow and learn within a caring and worshipping parish community, and under the guidance of their teachers, they experience and develop Christian attitudes and behaviors of self-discipline, respect, and responsibility to the community. Life Formation Mission nurtures its students to reach their full potentials in all areas of life and to become strong honorable leaders who will one day help build a more concerned and just society.

Our Mission

Life Formation Mission is committed to disciple children into the likeness of Christ.

Our Goal

The goal of Life Formation Mission is to train the children in a manner of development focusing on integrating Christ’s life into every aspect of their learning process in order to bring forth a Christ-like lifestyle.

Our Philosophy

  • We believe that education is the process of leading children into the manifestation of the Life of God.
  • We believe that education is a mandate given by God only to the church.
  • We believe that education is founded on the Scriptures, the sacraments, the writings of the Apostolic Fathers, the Creeds, and the teachings and traditions of the Church.
  • We believe that education is the task of the family, in collaboration with and under the authority and guidance of the Church.
  • We believe that education is for the sole purpose of building the Church in order to make visible the kingdom of God.

Our Objectives

“And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

Luke 2:52

   Life Formation Mission aims to

   1) Cultivate the life of God in the children, that they would attain their fullest God-given potential

   2) Help the children discover, develop, and use their talents in building the Church

   3) Root the children in the liturgical life of the Church community

      4) Form the character of the children in conformity with the virtues as exemplified by Christ.
