Afterthoughts....After Childbirth

I chanced upon the Facebook posts of my friend, Sis. Chato.  Having spent so many Monday mornings with her in her Feeding Ministry to the less fortunate,   I saw how she has opened her heart and her life to the pregnant women of this Ministry, most of whom are unwed mothers.

To her, there is no distinction whether the pregnant mother is from the Cathedral or from the Ministry to the Blessed.  What matters is how she responds to the calling that God has equipped and empowered her.  Every delivery is worship unto God; and every time she submits herself in this humbling task, she demonstrates a life of prayer, a worship unto God – all for His glory.

In one of her posts, I quote her:

“Midwifery is not about catching babies at home or wherever.  It's about caring enough to choose the safest passage and recognize when help is needed and make hard calls. It is walking knowingly into a place that may receive you with hostility because they do not agree with you or understand what your "calling" is!

A midwife will always do what is best for the welfare of the mother and the baby, seeing at all times the sacredness of life.  Midwifery works because we trust God for wisdom and guidance...Thank God for His grace.”

I do not have a number of the lives that have been brought forth in her Ministry.  She does have a record of all them, but just this January, 2012, I knew she had a number of miracles that she experienced and witnessed.

“Thank You, Lord, for another fast, easy and safe delivery of Deobei from our Ministry to the Blessed. She gave birth ten minutes after we got into the Birthing clinic at 2:40 in the afternoon to a  7.1lbs baby girl  without tear.  Hallelujah! God's grace and faithfulness amazes me at all times. He still allowed me to attend Angela Javier's baptismal celebration... then this marvelous  birth! :)))

Hallelujah! 16 yr. old Christal Mae from our Ministry to the Blessed gave birth to her first born son at 7:05am with 3550gms...normal spontaneous delivery with no tear yet double presentation (cephalic and hand). Baby Gabriel is very strong- Apgar 9.

God and God alone is with us...at all times! Thank You Lord Jesus for Your redemption in childbirth. Your grace never fails. See, I need " no "paswerte" animals since we can go directly to the Author and TRUE giver of blessings... God Himself.  Anyway, what an amazing way to welcome this Chinese New Year. Glory to God!

Another praise report! :) Claricel from our Ministry to the Blessed gave birth in the Church's narthex.  Thanks be to God for keeping her safe! I came just on time when the baby's head was already "popping out".  His grace endures forever- bouncing 8.8 lbs boy in His kingdom at 11:40 pm last night.  After the "clean-up", she walked to the Birthing Clinic.

Hallelujah! Childbirth without fear indeed. Glory to God alone forever and ever:))) She went home after our feeding time this morning in a tricycle. Amazing grace:)))

What a Mighty and loving God we serve!  Another super fast normal spontaneous delivery –this time on the waiting bench of the Birthing Clinic.  Got a call from guard Greg while I was in St. Paul’s Pasig for the talent demonstration of Gianna, my super loved apo.  Even before Gianna finished their presentation, I rushed to the Birthing Clinic.

Hallelujah! When I arrived the baby was already out.  All I did was deliver the placenta…then she walks to the Birthing Clinic to breastfeed Angela, a 6.6lbs baby girl.  After an hour she asked me, “Ma’m pwede na umuwi?" (Ma’m, can I go home?) Since her blood pressure was okay, with well contracted uterus and a very strong baby, I let her go home in a tricycle.

Thanks be to God for His faithfulness that never fails! :)))
