AN ADVENT GET-TOGETHER – BIRTHING CLINIC

On December 4, 2011, the Birthing Clinic celebrated its first Advent/Christmas get-together with the children and parents who have been part of the program, highlighting its progress and expansion.

Aside from the usual feasting, the participants had their chance to share stories and have a presentation. Over 20 children, all of which were born in the Birthing Clinic of the Cathedral, entertained the parents present with a Christmas Medley.  Also in the event were the people from the Blessed Ministry.

Kamille Santos, Gemma Zacarias, Marie Sulit, and two mothers from the Blessed Ministry gave testimonies on how God manifested His miraculous power during their birthing process.

GOD’S PROMISE

 “[When I see how the ministry has grown] I see the manifestation of [God’s] promise in Exodus 1: 20-21,” shared Sis. Chato Flores during the party.  She cited the verse: “So God was good to the midwives, and the people multiplied, and became very mighty. Because the midwives feared God, He established households for them.”  She said that that same promise triggered her desire to establish a Birthing Clinic to help pregnant mothers.

BRIGHT FUTURE

And multiply, the Birthing Program did.  Sis. Chato said in her speech that it was in February that God told her to use the Clinic for evangelization. So out she went. Since then, she has been reaching out to people outside the confines of the Cathedral. The Blessed Ministry is one example.

To date, the Clinic has delivered a total of 186 babies. Sis. Chato said that looking at all the children she has had a hand in bringing life to, she sees future leaders. “I see God-fearing children. I see them building the Cathedral – spiritually and literally. I see them leading us to the Promised Land.”
